Justin Haber to wear Birkirkara F.C's shirt

by Ivan Mizzi - 18th January 2013

International goalkeeper Justin Haber brought to an end what seemed to be an end-less saga as just a few moments ago, the 32 year old goalkeeper completed his move to Birkirkara FC. Justin will be wearing the Adidas shirt, thanks to our technical and kit sponsor Eurosport for the following two and a half years, joining our Club on a free transfer after he was released by Mosta FC earlier today.

Justin is definitely considered as a major signing for ‘The Stripes' as he is widely considered as one of the best goalkeepers in Malta. He will join fellow National team-mate, Reuben Gauci who is also one of top goalkeepers on the island, and the one who has suffered least goals in the Premier League so far. This means that the Club can now boast of having two National Team goalkeepers in the squad, besides Ini Atkapan. The technical team felt the need to have three goalers, to have ease of mind in case of injury, something that has occurred regularly throughout the season.

After playing with the Greek club, Kerkyra FC in the previous season, Justin returned to Malta and continued his adventure with Mosta FC. With Mosta, he made 19 appearances in the Premier League.

This will be the second adventure for Haber with our Club after he already wore the Yellow-Red jersey between 2002 and 2005 where he made no less than 74 appearances.

Justin will be available for selection for Wednesday's clash against Qormi FC.

We would like to welcome back Justin with our Club while we wish him all the best of luck.
