Birkirkara U16 Girls performed a magnificent performance on Sunday morning when they bounced back from the 2-2 draw against Pembroke by trashing Kirkop United with a 5-0 score.

The early stages might give the idea that the match was going to be a balanced one, but after Birkirkara managed to break the dead-lock there was only team in the game, as Birkirkara were too dominant over their opponents.

Raina Giusti, the top scorer of the league, continued to show her scoring qualities in the competition by netting another hat-trick. Alishia Sultana and Kelly Groves scored a goal each besides both having a very fine performance.

Thanks to this win, Birkirkara are fourth, three under Gozo who played one match more than the Stripes and six points under leaders Mosta who ended in a 1-1 draw in the top of the table clash against Pembroke.

Birkirkara will be involved in the next match against Mgarr next Sunday at the Gharghur Grounds. Kick off time is scheduled to 12:00.
