Birkirkara Under 16 Girls reduced the gap with leaders Mosta and opened the league title challenge wide open as the Stripes made the best out of the goal-less draw between Mosta and Kirkop by beating Mgarr with a 7-0 score.

Birkirkara seemed to receive a great morale boost with the result of Mosta and Kirkop as the Stripes were on fire by hitting seven to Mgarr, four them scored by the league's best scorer Raina Giusti, with the other three thanks to a brace by Mariah Sciberras and another goal by Kelly Groves who had a fine performance.

Thanks to this win, Birkirkara move five points behind joint-leaders Mosta and Pembroke, with the Stripes facing Mosta this Sunday in the much awaited clash.
