Last week, Birkirkara suffered a narrow defeat against Mosta in the U16 Girls' League, and their performance in general was rather disappointing. However, Birkirkara bounced back with the biggest win of the season when in a one-way traffic match, the Stripes trounced Tarxien Rainbows with a score of 10-0.

Netting eight goals just in the first half, the Stripes made sure from the three points early as possible. In the second half, Birkirkara opted for the possession game, but they still managed to add another two goals to their tally.

Mariah Sciberras registered a poker in the match thanks to her fine finishing. Raina Giusti scored a hat-trick, Kelly Groves netted a brace while with the other goal being scored by Alishia Sultana.

Thanks to this victory, Birkirkara are third with 25 points, seven under leaders Pembroke and five under Mosta.

This Sunday, the Stripes will be involved in a difficult match against Pembroke, who are yet unbeaten. The match will be played at the Gharghur grounds and it is scheduled to kick off at 09:00.
