Women's Team to face Mgarr

by Ayrton Galea - 26th February 2013

Birkirkara FC's Women team will be aiming to extend their positive run this evening when they face Mgarr United in another tricky match.

After registering two victories against Gozo and Tarxien respectively, after two consecutive draws against Mosta and Hibernians, the Stripes seem to be back on the right track.

Last Tuesday, Birkirkara's match against Tarxien turned into a frustrating one. The Rainbows made the best out of the small sized pitch to close the gaps to frustrate the Stripes. However, the Stripes were determined enough to pick three precious points as they defeated Tarxien with a 4-1 score.

On the other hand, Mgarr United are currently at the 5th place of the BOV Women's First Division League standings. They are coming from a very fine 6-0 victory over Hamrun Spartans.

In the first round, Birkirkara easily defeated Mgarr with a comfortable 5-0 score.

The match will be played at the Pembroke Grounds and it is scheduled to kick off at 20:30.

Come on the Stripes.
