Under 16's girls register third consecutive victory

Birkirkara Under 16's Girls registered their third consecutive victory and made sure that they will be ending their season at least in the third place after they defeated Kirkop United with a 4-0 score.

Following an almost one month pause, the Stripes still kept their cool to register their third consecutive victory following the narrow defeat to Mosta.

Thanks to this win, Birkirkara made sure of the third place after fourth placed Gozo were defeated by Pembroke and now the Stripes opened a five-point lead with just one match to go.

Promising striker Mariah Sciberras broke the dead-lock on the 17th minute, and the top scorer of the Under 16's league, Raina Giusti was quick to made them two just three minutes later. The same player increased the lead on the 38 minutes and on the 45 minutes Kelly Groves sealed the issue with the fourth goal.

Thanks to this win, Birkirkara are third with 31 points, four under leaders Pembroke, and two under Mosta.

The Stripes will be involved in the next and last match of the league against Gozo on the 7 April. The match will be played at the Gharghur Grounds and is scheduled to start at 10:00.
