Mr. Paul Zammit rewarded for his success

Birkirkara FC's Head Coach Mr. Paul Zammit was one of those awarded in the first Sport-Press Malta ceremony attended by the Club's committee and the Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sport Dr. Stefan Buontempo, held at the Clubhouse.

In the first activity of the recently set up Sport-Press Malta, Mr. Paul Zammit was one of the two persons involved in sports awarded for their success in the month of May. Mr. Zammit was rewarded for his success in helping Birkirkara FC clinching their fourth Premier League title in their history. The other person rewarded was Mr. Nathan Lee Xuereb.

In a short speech by Dr. Stefan Buontempo, praised the activity that recognizes the persons involved in sports for their success. Dr. Buontempo also said that it is also essential to appreciate the persons who give their professional support to those involved in sport, as they also have a part in this success.

He concluded his speech by promising that he will be ready to help whenever he can to increase the level of the sport on our island.

Mr. Mario Meli, the president of the Sport-Press Malta who has a good number of members from all the local media, explained how the association was established with its principal objectives being to work to promote local sports, and thanks to this activity to show more appreciation towards persons involved in sports and their success.

Mr. Meli concluded his speech by saying that the assocation is ready to work with the Malta's authorities so that the sport will continue improving its level and that in the near future they are ready to announce more interesting initiatives.
