Birkirkara FC's Academy product, Rowen Muscat has made his next step in his football career when he joined newly promoted Hungarian top division side Dunaujvaros Pase.

Rowen Muscat will be moving to the Hungarian top division, after his contract with Birkirkara FC expired at the end of the 2014-2015 season. Rowen, who is twenty-three years old is one of the best youngsters on the island who ever played for Birkirkara FC

Rowen's debut came in the 2009-2010 season on the 10th October, as a substitute, against Dingli Swallows in the last ten minutes. Muscat's name on the starting eleven list appeared for the first time on 18th October 2009 against the Hibernians, where they shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

During his spell with our Club, he made 114 appearances during the last five years in the BOV Premier League. He netted five goals and he was voted two times as the BOV Player of the Match.

Rowen told this website, “It's the wish of every player to play abroad and since I was young I had the wish to experience professional football. After working so hard, this dream has become a reality and I'm very happy that I can use this experience to improve my potential and to mature me in my personal life.”

He added on, “Life here is a bit difficult to settle down to, and the biggest problem is that not many speak English. Even from the players of my team, only five speak English. You have to forget the Maltese way of life because here it is totally different. I will use this opportunity to help mature as a man.”

Rowen, who joined the Club's Academy at the age of four, concluded by saying "I would like to thank all the family of Birkirkara FC. They made all this possible and if it wasn't for them, I would not be where I am today. Thank you to everyone involved.”
