Stripes to face City in Super Cup

Birkirkara FC and Valletta FC will be aiming to lay down an early maker where in the curtain-raiser of the 2014-2015 season, they will meet in the BOV Super Cup Final.

This match will herald the start of the new season but the dramatic events of last season are still fresh in the mind of many, when Birkirkara were overcome by Valletta in the last match-day of the BOV Premier League, and today's match will renew the rivalry between these two heavyweights clubs.

Birkirkara, will be aiming, to have revenge over the Citizens while aiming to retain the trophy in their showcase. The Stripes, won last year's edition against Hibernians, to take their tally to six, four less than Valletta FC.

The Stripes made key-changes in their squad for the upcoming season. The attacking-trio is now featuring Eliandro Gonzaga, Ellinton Morais and Rafael Ledesma while the Club signed Edmond Agius from Valletta FC and signed Spanish goalkeeper Adrian Sanchez.

The match will be played at the National Stadium and is scheduled to kick off at 19:30.
