Women's Team in a difficult test against Mgarr United

by Ayrton Galea - 11th November 2014

Four straight wins has certainly delivered a bold statement of the Women's Team aspirations of challenging for the BOV Women's First Division League, but this evening they will face a stern test when they take on Mgarr United FC.

It has been a solid start for the Women's Team, who registered maximum points from the first four outings. The Stripes defeated Swieqi United with a comfortable 9-1 score in the opening match, Hibernians with a 2-0 score in a direct clash, and registered two easy victories against Hamrun Spartans and Lija-Iklin with big scores of 8-0 and 19-0 respectively.

However this evening the Stripes will be involved in a difficult match, as Mgarr United have all that it takes to take points from this encounter. Having also enjoyed a positive start, Mgarr registered three victories and one draw so far when they shared the spoils in a goal-less draw against Raiders FC.

The match will be played at the Charles Abela Stadium in Mosta and is scheduled to kick off at 20:15.

Come on the Stripes!
