Melania Bajada joins Birkirkara FC

Birkirkara FC Women's Team completed their third signing for season 2015-2016 when just a few moments ago, Melania Bajada joined our Club on a one-year loan from Gozo FC.

Last season she won a regular place in the heart of the midfield department, and the Gozitian player joined our Club on loan for the second year running, and we talked to her about this decision.

The twenty-six year old creative midfielder opened by saying, “I chose Birkirkara FC again for several reasons. I think that the biggest reason was that I felt really well with the players and that's what I call a team. I really like the atmosphere in Birkirkara and I believe that when you're happy at a Club, you give your utmost effort

During last season, Melania played twenty-two matches and scored three goals. She said, “I think that I had a good season last year with Birkirkara. I always managed to keep my place and as time went by, I felt more comfortable with the team.”

We talked with Melania about the team's targets. “As a team, the target of Birkirkara FC is always the same - to challenge for every honour in Women's Football and I believe that this year is nothing different. As a team, we will also be seeking to play beautiful football. On the other hand, as my personal target, I would like to remain focused to keep my place and help my team. We have increased in our number as a squad, and this means that everyone must give the maximum to cope with the team.”

Finally Melania concluded this interview by saying, “Let's keep this unity in our team because I believe the team that continues on winning isn't the one with the best players only but that with the most united players!”
