Under-17's register big victory

Birkirkara FC Under-17's Team grabbed their second big in the Play-offs groups in Group E when they proved too strong for Tarxien Rainbows and trounced them with a 6-0 score.

The Stripes came out with strong intentions right from kick-off and it only took them twp minutes to take the lead when Neil's cross was deflected in by Tarxien's defender for an own goal. Birkirkara were in command building nicely from the back with fast flowing football and a few minutes later Ayrton made it 2-0 with a well placed shot from outside the area.

The remainder of the first half saw the yellows deal with Tarxien well and had the chance to increase the lead on other occasions but they failed to do so.

Birkirkara came out even stronger in the second half and just like the first half, they found the net early on when their goalkeeper couldn't stop Kyle's shot. Midfielders were controlling the game very well with fast passes breaking down the opposition and a great through ball from Neil saw him pick out Gianluca's run to put him one v one with the goalkeeper where he made it 4-0.

Ayrton made it 5-0 after a good team goal which saw Kyle unselfishly provide the opportunity for Ayrton to score his second of the game. Following the changes, Birkirkara kept going strong and substitute Aiden got the sixth goal of the game to round up an excellent team performance and give Birkirkara their second victory of the group.
