Under-19's Team keep marching on

Birkirkara FC Under-19's Team registered their fourth consecutive victory in the Youths League Section A when Clint Zammit scored a dramatic late goal to hands the Stripes a 2-1 victory.

The Stripes opened the score thanks to Josef Willy who controlled the ball inside the box and showed quick movement to turn and struck a low shot past the Hamrun goalkeeper to put them in the lead. For Willy, this was the third goal in the last three matches.

In the Second Half, Hamrun managed to make the score level following a fast counter-attack concluded with a fine shot from the edge of the box.

The match seemed to be heading for a draw but the Stripes had other thoughts as their efforts finally paid off and a got late winner. Clint Zammit showed great skills to drift inside the box and hit a fine strike much to the joy of the Birkirkara clan.
