Birkirkara FC Under-17's Team advanced to the next round of the Under-17's Knockout on Sunday morning when in a one-sided match, striker Gianluca Zammit scored no less than five goals as they defeated Kirkop United FC with a much comfortable 7-2 score with the other two goals coming from Ayrton Attard and Karl Caruana.

Gianluca Zammit was on fire on Sunday morning as he was on top form to score five goals while Ayrton Attard and Karl Caruana scored a goal each in a high-scoring victory.

The First Half

Birkirkara's aggressiveness and hunger to win the match was clear right from the start as they wasted no time in getting the first goal. With only a minute gone, Ayrton's dribble saw him beat his opponents on the left side and set up Gianluca to score the first goal of the game.

From then on it was all Birkirkara and in the space of 5 minutes, Gianluca netted another one with Ayrton also finding the net from the rebound to give Birkirkara a comfortable 3-0 lead.

TheSstripes kept on dominating possession, going for goal with every opportunity they had. Gianluca added a further two whilst Karl also found the net with a low shot before Kirkop pulled one back right before half time.

The Second Half

As was the case in the first half, Birkirkara came out strongly once again and scored immediately, Gianluca netting his fifth goal of the game after rounding the goalkeeper. Birkirkara tried to slow the game down for their opponents and where in control despite Kirkop managing to score their second goal of the game.
