Miroslav Kopric signs for the Stripes

by Ivan Mizzi - 11th January 2016

Birkirkara FC continued to strengthen their squad as they have signed the third foreigner during this January Transfer Market, as just a few moments ago, Croatian goalkeeper Miroslav Kopric signed a one and a half year contract.

Miroslav is thirty-one years old and he was last playing for NK Lucko, a Croatian Club in the second highest division of Croatia. He was the regular goalkeeper as he made nineteen appearances this season. His last match with the Club was on the 28 November 2015 when he kept a clean-sheet in the goal-less draw against Dinamo Zagreb II.

Before joining Lucko in the beginning of this season, he enjoyed a wonderful six-year spell with another second division Croatian side HNK Gorica. There he was also a regular choice particularly in the last three seasons where he made a total of 87 appearances. Before Gorica, he also had other spells with a host of Croatian Clubs namely NK Varazdin, NK Krizevci, NK Kamen Ingrad and NK Vinogradar.

Miroslav is the third foreign player to join our Club this week, following in the steps of Edison Bilboa Zarate and Mislav Andelkovic.

We would like to welcome Miroslav while wishing him all the best of luck in his adventure with our Club.
