Birkirkara FC Under-19's League on Thursday evening beat Valletta FC with two goals in the first half, to register their second consecutive victory in the Youths League Section A.

The Stripes started superior, and they surprised their opponents with an early goal, as Clint Zammit, put the Stripes ahead after just six minutes. Birkirkara added more woes to Valletta as they doubled the lead eighth minutes from half-time thanks to Joseph Willy, following a good solo-action by Kurt Zammit, to end the first half with a comfortable two-goal lead.

In the second half, with the Citizens unable to get past goalkeeper Philip Schranz, who registered another clean-sheet, the Stripes held strong for a 2-0 win, and extended their unbeaten run to three matches.
