'On the day, anything can happen' - Sciberras

by Ayrton Galea - 13th July 2016

Captain Gareth Sciberras believes that in a football match anyything can happen as the team's captain refused to throw in the towel for tomorrow's match of the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League against Heart of Midlothian FC. He said this in a press-conference on Wednesday evening at the Hibernians Stadium.

Still fresh from eliminating NK Siroki Brijeg to qualify for the second qualifying round, Gareth Sciberras said, “We have a strong squad and the coach has a good selection, because in these types of matches, everyone try to give his extra effort to be involved.”

“We played a good match against NK Siroki Brijeg and the goals arrived at an important time to give us the confidence we need. We will be carrying that confidence to tomorrow's match. Football shows you that in the pitch there are eleven-versus-eleven players so on the day anyything can happen as long we're committed and stick to the coach's tactics.”
