Birkirkara FC Under-15's Team were denied from the first victory in the APS Bank Under-15's League Section A by a last-gasp goal as they shared the spoils with Qormi in an entertaining 2-2 draw.

The Stripes were without points from the opening three matches but their preparations for this match were far from plain sailing as they came to this match without a number of key players who were injured or suspended.

Birkirkara started strongly and they built a two-goal in the opening fifteen minutes when Paul Galea put them ahead with a header from a corner kick while Jacob Magri doubled their lead six minutes later.

Despite the Stripes had the wind blowing against them in the second half, they created a number of chances were they could have increased the score but instead they paid the ultimate price for the chances lost as ten minutes from time, Qormi pulled one back from a penalty kick.

Qormi put everything forward and they made the score level in the very last moment, a free-kick surprised goalkeeper Kieron Brincat who could only deflect the ball into his own net as both teams ended with a point each.

The Under-15's Team will be involved in the next match against Mosta FC on Sunday, 4 December. The match will be played at the Charles Abela Stadium and it will kick off at 10:15.
