Schranz to form part of the squad for Season 2017-2018

by Ayrton Galea - 17th June 2017

Goalkeeper Philip Schranz, who is considered as one of the most talented young goalkeepers on the island, will be forming part of the squad for the Season 2017-2018. The return of Schranz confirms the Club's vision that is of believing in the best Maltese young talent.

Schranz, who forms part of the Under-21's National Team, will be returning with our Club after enjoying a very satisfactory season with Tarxien Rainbows. The Club loaned Schranz in the beginning of last season to gain more experience and now the Club believes that he has all what it takes to challenge for a place between our posts.

The twenty-year old goalkeeper, who had also played with the Under-17's and Under-19's National Team, had signed a five-year contract with our Club in the 2015 Transfer Market. He was part of the Senior and the Under-19's squad during the 2015-2016 season, before he was loaned to Tarxien Rainbows for Season 2016-2017. With the Rainbows, he made fifteen appearances.

We would like to welcome back Philip while wishing him all the best of luck in the upcoming season.
