Alexander Nilsson joins Birkirkara FC

Birkirkara FC completed another major signing this summer, as forward Alexander Nilsson joined our Club on a one-season loan from Tarxien Rainbows FC. As part of this deal, James Brincat will be loaned to Tarxien Rainbows for the upcoming season.

Nilsson is a not a new face in Maltese football as he has established himself among the best forwards in the BOV Premier League during During the last season, he was playing with Tarxien Rainbows, and he ended as the team's top-scorer with eleven goals.

He was brought to Malta by Qormi FC in the Season 2014-2015, before joining Tarxien Rainbows mid-way through the following season. Before coming to our island, he has played for Swedish clubs Malmo FF, Landskrona and Trelleborg.

He becomes the tenth new signing, and he is the fourth signing in less than a week as the Club steps-up the preparations for the upcoming season. The Club signed forward Bruno Andrade on Thursday while defensive duo Martin Klein and Renato Camilo joined our Club on Saturday.

On the other hand, James Brincat will be loaned to Tarxien Rainbows FC as part of this deal. This decision was done with the aim that the promising versatile player gains more experience and playing time to continue develop his talent.

He joined our Club last August, and during the previous season made seventeen appearances while he scored two goals
