Women's Team take on ZNK Olimpija Ljubljana

by Ayrton Galea - 28th August 2017

Birkirkara FC Women's Team will be aiming for a positive result in their last match of Group 6 of the UEFA Women's Champions League, when this evening they will take on hosts ZNK Olimpija Ljubljana.

The Stripes produced a better performance in the second match following a 8-0 defeat against FC Minsk in the first match, but this wasn't enough to hold FC Zurich Fraeun from securing a comfortable 5-0 victory.

On the other hand, following conceding a late defeat with a 2-1 score against FC Zurich Fraeun, Olimpija suffered a 5-0 defeated in their second match against FC Minsk.

Coach Melania Belania will be unable to field her best formation as Kelly Agius Pace is still ruled-out injured. On the other hand, Mariah Sciberras has recovered in time from an ankle injury.

The match will be played at the Stozice Stadium and it will kick off at 17:00.

Come on the Stripes!
