Myles Beerman joins Birkirkara FC

Birkirkara FC completed another important signing in the last days of the summer transfer market, after reaching an agreement with Rangers FC for the loan of one season for Malta Under-19's National Team player, Myles Beerman.

The Stripes continued to strengthen their squad when they have captured the signature of nineteen-year-old Myles Beerman. For the versatile defender, who has already three appearances with the National Team, this will be his first experience in the BOV Premier League.

Beerman started his career with Floriana FC before moving to England to sign with Mancester City FC in 2014, where he spent two years. In 2016, he joined Scottish club Rangers FC where he agreed a two-year contract. He made his professional debut with Rangers on 6 April 2017.

On 4 January 2018, Beerman joined Scottish Championship club Queen of the South until the end of May 2018 on a development loan deal. He made four appearances with them till the end of the season.

Beerman has represented Malta at various age levels. He featured at the 2014 UEFA Under-17 Championship in Malta, aged only fifteen. On 9 May 2017, Beerman was selected for the Malta national football team for the first time in his career at eighteen-years-old. In June 2017, Beerman made his debut for Malta in a friendly match versus Ukraine.

Club's Technical Director Mr. Michael Valenzia revealed that the Club had been looking for the type of player likes Myles Beerman to add to the squad. When sharing his views on this signing, he said, “We are really happy that Myles has joined our squad for this season.”

“When the opportunity presented itself to have him on loan, we were immediately interested as we had been looking for that type of player to add to our squad. We hope that he will have a successful season and wish him all the best of luck.”
