Birkirkara FC Women's Team extended their perfect start in the BOV Women's League thanks to their tenth consecutive victory, when yesterday evening, they defeated Mosta FC with a comfortable 5-0 score.

Ylenia Carabott scored her first brace with the club while team's top scorer, Kailey Willis, Tracy Teuma and substitute Alishia Sultana scored a goal each as the Stripes kept marching on and made them ten victories in ten matches.

Coach Melania Bajada made four changes from last week's big victory against Swieqi United FC as Kelly Agius Pace, Miriana Conti, Sarah Urpani and Ylenia Carabott replaced Veronique Mifsud, Samantha Zarb, Alishia Sultana and Raina Giusti.

The First Half

The Stripes dictated possession for long stretches and they broke the dead-lock after thirty minutes. Play-maker Tracy Teuma got past her marker and hit a low shot past the Mosta young goalkeeper, Giulia D'Antunio.

Birkirkara doubled their lead three minutes before half-time. An inch-perfect through-ball by Kailey Willis unzipped the defence and Ylenia Carabott beat the offside trap with a perfectly timed run, as she darted forward and kept her cool to place the ball past D'Antunio.

The Second Half

Birkirkara continued where they left in the first half and they increased their lead after just five minutes. Willis, playing in an unusual position on the right flank, surprised the goalkeeper with a cross-shot, as D'Antunio could only deflect the ball into her own net.

The combination of Willis and Carabott paid off again on the hour mark. Willis sent an excellent cross inside the box and Carabott hit a powerful header past the Mosta goalkeeper for her second personal goal. The lethal forward has now scored five goals in her last four matches played.

The Stripes scored their fifth goal eight minutes from time. Substitute Alishia Sultana produced a brilliant solo-action after she was served by Willis, as he dribbled past two markers and dashed inside the box before she hit a fine shot past the Mosta goalkeeper.
