Birkirkara FC returned to winning ways in style in the BOV Women's League, when they defeated bottom-placed Fgura United FC with a most comfortable 7-1 score.

The Stripes, who shared the spoils in a goal-less draw against Mgarr United FC in the top of the table clash, returned to winning ways to ensure their comfortable six-point lead on top of the table. For the defending-champions, this was their thirteenth victory in fourteen matches.

Birkirkara built a comfortable three-goal in the first half. Tracy Teuma put the Stripes ahead after six minutes and Alishia Sultana doubled the lead on the thirty-fifth minute. Just before the half-time whistle, Teuma scored her personal goal and the third one for the Stripes.

The Stripes remained in command and scored another four goals in the second half. Raina Giusti scored a second-half hat-trick to reach one hundred goals with his club, while the other goal was scored by Alishia Sultana. Fgura United FC scored a consolation goal after Birkirkara's fifth goal.
