Ylenia Carabott joins Birkirkara FC on a permanent move

by Ayrton Galea - 1st July 2019

Birkirkara FC is delighted to announce that prolific forward Ylenia Carabott has joined our club on a permanent basis following spending the last season on loan with our club.

Carabott, one of Malta's finest players, joined our club last season in one of the biggest transfers in Maltese football. She established herself as a key player for the Stripes and netted twelve goals in twenty-four appearances.

Her most memorable goal in her first season with our club was her stunning strike in the third match of the UEFA Women's Champions League mini-tournament qualifying round against Cardiff Met FC of Wales that finished with a 2-2 score and secured Birkirkara's first ever point in this competition.

The permanent move of Carabott follows the three new signings announced last month including goalkeeper Maya Cachia, Martina Cortis, and Martina Fenech.

We would like to wish Ylenia all the best of luck in her time with our club.
