Birkirkara FC registered their second consecutive victory and remained the only unbeaten side in the BOV Women's League on Tuesday evening when they defeated Mosta FC with a comfortable 5-1 score.

The Stripes had to wait till seven minutes from half-time to break the deadlock. A corner kick caused havoc inside the box and Loza Abera was first on the loose ball to slot home from close-range.

Birkirkara doubled their lead nine minutes inside the second half. Rapid-winger Esther Anu made a terrific run before serving substitute Tracy Teuma inside the box who hit home with a fine shot.

Against the run of the play, Mosta pulled one back on the sixty-ninth minute. An erratic clearance by goalkeeper Maya Cachia fell in the path of substitute Leah Alice Ayres who hit a first-time shot that beat the Birkirkara goalkeeper.

The Stripes regained their two-goal lead on the seventy-fifth minute by Loza Abera and the same player scored again less than sixty-seconds later to score her first hat-trick with our club.

The Stripes added further gloss on their victory with the fifth goal on the seventy-ninth minute when Esther Anu slotted home from close-range to score her first personal goal with our club.
