by Ayrton Galea - 6th December 2019

Birkirkara FC's volunteer Mark Cipriott has been recognised for his sterling work during the last twenty-three years by being awarded Gieh Birkirkara, in the 2019 edition, by the Birkirkara Local Council held yesterday evening.

Born on August 29, 1976, Mark or as he is well known, 'Chippy' is admired for all his voluntary work with Birkirkara FC and his personality, particularly that he is always willing to help everyone.

Mark started giving his contribution to the football club of Birkirkara in 1996 by helping in the committee of the club's nursery, a position that he held till 2011. In 2012, he started a new adventure by helping in the role of an assistant kit manager - a role which he still occupies today.

It is worth mentioning that during these twenty-three years of service, Mark has always done this impeccable job on a voluntary basis for the love that he has for anything related to Birkirkara.

There is no doubt that Mark will be forever admired and appreciated by all the people that have Birkirkara at heart
