Birkirkara hoping to return to winning ways

by Clayton Schembri - 25th November 2020

On Saturday we will see Birkirkara FC back in action when they take on Gudja United FC at the National Stadium kick-off at 14:00. The stripes returned to training last week after an absence of three weeks because of the Covid-19 mandatory quarantine.

Coach Andre Paus will be hoping bounce back from the initial disappointing matches.
The stripes sit 14th in the BOV Premier League after one win and a draw in their opening six matches.

On the other hand, there is more than enough quality in the players to see the stripes bounce to winning ways, although the recent Covid-19 quarantine has severely jeopardised the team's physical condition. The stripes have shown character this season and gave a stern challenge to the top table teams and much is expected from them.

While the stripes are looking to put their campaign back on track, Gudja will also try to return to winning after the draw against Valletta in their last appearance in the BOV Premier League.

We would like to wish Andre Paus and his team the best of luck.

Come on the Stripes!
