Five-star Birkirkara FC made a significant step towards winning the fifth consecutive championship, when at the top of the table clash of the BOV Women's League, yesterday evening they defeated Mgarr United FC with a 2-0 score.

The Stripes had to wait till the last minutes to take the lead, thanks to Veronique Mifsud who broke the deadlock on the 87th minute. Birkirkara doubled their lead three minutes later, thanks to the substitute Mariah Cardona.

By this result Birkirkara registered their ninth consecutive victory and remained the only unbeaten side in the BOV Women's League and are now top of the table on twenty-seven points, five points ahead of Swieqi and Mgarr that are sharing the second place.

So far, The Stripes won every game in the BOV Women's League and managed to score a total of 45 goals and conceded only 2 goals! This proves that the squad made up of a group of players who work very hard to reach the club's objective.
