Birkirkara FC Women's Team registered their tenth straight victory in the BOV Women's League and maintained their five-point lead over Swieqi United FC, when yesterday evening they defeated Kirkop United FC with a fine 4-1 score.

The Stripes built a comfortable two-goal lead in the first half. Raina Giusti broke the dead-lock on the 42' minute with a powerful shot from close-range. For Giusti, this was her tenth goal so far. Two minutes later just before the half time, The Stripes doubled their lead thanks to Christabel Oduro.

Birkirkara continued to dictate matters and they scored their third goal on the 61' minute, thanks to Veronique Mifsud.

Kirkop United pulled one back on the 74' minute, after Rodianne Zerafa looped the ball over goalkeeper Xuereb.

However, the Stripes regained their three-goal lead late in the match to add further gloss on their victory. This time thanks to Yasmeen Bajada.
