Birkirkara FC secured their place into the next round of the FA Trophy with a comfortable victory on Tuesday evening, when they defeated Lija Athletic FC with a 6-0 score.

It was a deserved victory for the Stripes who as the score indicates, they dominated throughout the entire ninety minutes. The Stripes could have even registered a bigger victory as they were denied twice by the post.

Yannick Yankam put the Stripes ahead on the 16th minute, when Verde put an excellent cross for Caio who created a chance with a dazzling run on the right flank before delivered an inch-perfect cross inside the box and Yannick Yankam poked the ball past Luke Bonnici.

Birkirkara doubled their lead just before half-time, when Paul Mbong picked up the ball near the halfway line and fed the overlapping Isacc Ntow, who squared it for Federico Falcone to shoot low past Bonnici.

The Stripes continued where they left in the first half as they added their third on the sixty-six minutes, after a great free kick from Mbong fell between Valdo Alhinho and Pedro Gusso, allowing Oscar Carniello to head home Birkirkara's third goal.

Cain Attard scored the fourth goal for the stripes, when he finished with an exquisite low shot after received the ball from Caio.

Caio finally put his name on the scoresheet when slotting the ball past Bonnici with Mbong again turning provider. The barrage of goals continued as The Stripes struck their sixth goal and Attard his second.

Miguel Spiteri made his debut with the senior team when he replace Amara Sylla on the 78th minute.
