He spent three years with the 'Rainbows' where every season was determinate and, thanks to his skills he managed to score goals, as in fact, in 2009-2010 he managed to score four goals including a brace against Valletta when the 'Rainbows' were loosing with a 2-0 score line.
After Carlo Mamo's loan expired at the end of the 2009-2010 season, 'The Stripes' committee began to search for the player that will have to fight for his place against the Under 21 International, Joseph Zerafa.
Andrew Decesare was the main target for 'The Stripes' and in fact they managed to sign the left back as Andrew agreed to sign a two year contract which will keep him a player of 'The Stripes' till 2012.
Andrew's skills, when it comes to defending are impressive as his stamina enables him to help the squad with his dangerous overlaps which can cause the opposite defense to suffer a goal thanks to Decesare.
Andrew's debut was on the 21st June in the Euro Challenge Cup when our team suffered a 3-1 loss against Sliema Wanderers in the first match of this cup. In his debut, Andrew played the whole ninety minutes.
In his first season with Birkirkara, Andrew left a good impression and in the Premier League he managed to make 16 appearances. In 11 of these matches, he was included from the start, while in the other 5 matches he was included a substitute.
The second season was harder for Decesare as he failed to earn a regular place and in the 2012 January Transfer Market, Andrew moved to Sliema Wanderers to end his one and a half year spell with our Club.
Andrew made a total of 27 appearances with our Club in which he started 20 of them with the remaining seven entering as a substitute.
