Walder Acosta was born on the 25 August 1986 in Juan Lacaze, Uruguay. He joined our Club in the January Transfer Market 2018.

Standing at 187cm tall, the towering forward is described as a prodigious finisher whose best attribute is that of being in the right position inside the box.

The Uruguayan forward has played most of his career in Ecuador, where he has played in both the first and second tier. However, Waldemar also enjoys vast of experience in other South-American leagues as he has played in the first and second tier of Uruguay, in the first tier of Mexico, as well as in the top tier of Guatemala.

During his career, he has won the Seria B of Ecuador in 2011, where he was playing with Técnico Universitario. In this season, he made thirty-seven appearances and scored nineteen goals. In 2015, he was the runner-up with Fuerza Amarilla in the Seria B of Ecuador while in 2016, he ended-up the runner-up as well in the top-tier of Uruguay with Plaza Colonia.

In March 2017, Waldemar joined LDU Portoviejo in the Seria B of Ecuador. He enjoyed a wonderful season as he ended as the team’s top scorer with eleven goals, as well as the most player in the team that provided assists as he provided no less than seven assists.

The Stripes were looking to strengthen their offensive department in the January Transfer Market 2018, and the choice fell on Waldemar. He signed a short-term contract till the end of Season 2017-2018 on Friday, 19 January 2018.
