Alan Tabone on loan to Vittoriosa Stars F.C.

by Ivan Mizzi - 21st January 2011

Birkirkara loaned out a second player for this January Transfer Market. From today, Alan Tabone will be joining Vittoriosa Stars F.C. on a loan basis till the end of this season.

In June 2010, Alan agreed to sign a one year contract which means he will be a player of Birkirkara FC till the end of this season.

During this season, Alan did not feature regularly in the team, as he was often left on the bench. Also, during this season he suffered an injury which kept him side lined for over two months. This season, he was included in the first eleven only twice, while he was included as a substitute three times.

Alan Tabone's debut was on 1 September 1999 in the match against Zurrieq with a comfortable win of 4-1, in the same season where 'The Stripes' were crowned Champions for the first time exactly on the 50th anniversary of the Club.

In his spell with the club, Alan managed to score twelve goals in total. He scored the last two this season, in a brace against Sliema Wanderers with the game ending in a draw of 2-2.

We want to thank Alan for his service to the Club, while wishing him the best of luck in his new adventure.
