Birkirkara in a delicate test vs Hamrun Spartans

by Ayrton Galea - 21st January 2011

Birkirkara will be involved in a very important match as on day 15 of the BoV Premier League they will face Hamrun Spartans.

'The Stripes' are not going through their best form as in their two outings they were beaten by Valletta and Marsaxlokk respectively. The last win registered by Birkirkara was against Hibernians with a 3-1 result on the 18th December.

Tomorrow's opponents, Hamrun Spartans are also not going through a great patch as they failed to impress and grab any points in their last three outings as they were defeated by Floriana and Hibernians respectively in the league, and were knocked out of the U-BET FA Trophy by Tarxien.

The long streak of injuries for Birkirkara continues as Trevor Cilia will not be available for selection by Mr. Paul Zammit. Meanwhile the two new signings namely Andrei Aguis and Rodolfo De Oliveria are also not available for selection since international clearances did not arrive in time. Hamrun Spartans will be lacking the service of Ryan Fenech and Martin Hrubsa.

In this week's interview we spoke with Shaun Bajada and he had a message for the Birkirkara supporters. "Stay always behind the team whatever happens and keep believing in this team and our coach. We have a group of players that have an impeccable character and a great potential."

Come on the Stripes!
