Birkirkara to face KF Vllaznia in the first leg of the Europa League

by Ayrton Galea - 30th June 2011

This evening Birkirkara will be involved in the first leg of the Europa League first qualifying round when they will face KF Vllaznia of Albania.

Birkirkara started preparing for this match four weeks ago when they started training for this new season. Last week they were involved in the two matches of the Euro Challenge cup and they had two very satisfying performances.

For this match, Birkirkara will not be in their full strength as Brazilian defender Antonio Carlos Gomes is ruled out injured. Alan Tabone, Brazilian striker David Da Silva and International midfielder Shaun Bajada are also not in perfect condition, however they are called up in the 18 men squad.

On a more positive note, International midfielder Gareth Scibberas is expected to make his debut today.

As announced earlier, tickets for this match cost only €5, and women and children under 14 years of age enter for free. Tickets will be on sale at the door.

The match will be played at the Hibernians Stadium and it is scheduled to kick off at 20:30. Transport from Valley Road, Birkirkara will leave at 19:30. In matches like these your support is of utmost importance.
