Jacopo Camilli released by Birkirkara F.C.

by Ivan Mizzi - 29th August 2011

Italian striker Jacopo Camilli has been released today by Birkirkara F.C. The release was agreed upon amicably and mutually, to serve the interest of both parties.

Jacopo was signed in the Summer Transfer Marker of 2010, specifically in June, when he agreed terms for a two years contract. He made his debut against Sliema Wanderers in the first match of the Euro Cup where Birkirkara where defeated with a 3-0 score. The match was played on the 21 June in the Centenary Stadium.

He was then available to play in the second leg of the first round of the Champions League match against Santa Coloma which was played on 6 July 2010 but he was not utilised. After this match he was loaned out for one year to an Italian side.

He returned to Birkirkara in summer 2011 where he played several friendly matches with our team. Despite showing a fine improvement, it was felt that he was not the best fit for the needs of this year's team.

We want to thank Jacopo for the services that he rendered to Our club while wishing him the best of luck in his future.
