Jorge Santos Silva extends his stay

Brazilian winger Jorge Santos Silva is the second foreigner who extended his contract with Birkirkara FC as today, he signed another one year deal.

On Friday, 13 January 2012, Jorge signed for Birkirkara F.C. after he was released by Sliema Wanderers on his request. He made his debut just one day later in the narrow 1-0 win over Marsaxlokk.

Jorge's performance began to improve from one match to the next and it is no real surprise that he is in next seaon's plan too.

In the 2011-2012 season, Jorge had fourteen appearances out of which he started thirteen and was included as a substitute once. He managed to score eight goals and was voted as man of the match once. This season he had scored another three goals with Sliema Wanderers.
