Mifsud Triganza moves to Valletta FC

by Ivan Mizzi - 31st August 2013

Birkirkara FC and Valletta FC have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of prolific striker Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza. The deal was concluded in the dying minutes of the Summer Transfer Window, just a few moments ago.

With the Stripes having three forward foreigners in the squad, Mifsud Triganza was finding little space to leave his mark with our Club and he wanted to find a new opportunity.

Mifsud Triganza needs no introduction in Maltese football. The Floriana FC youth nursery product established himself as one of the best Maltese strikers during the last years. He joined our Club in the 2002-2003 season, before being sold to Sliema Wanderers in the 2009 Summer Transfer Window. However, he re-joined our Club in the 2012 January Transfer window.

With our Club, Mifsud Triganza made no less than 182 appearances in the Premier League. He started 111 matches while he was included as a substitute 71 times. During his excellent spell with our Club, the prolific striker managed to net 68 goals.

We would like to thank Mifsud Triganza for his excellent service towards our Club.
