Interview with Frank Temile

For this week's interview, we decided to continue introducing this Summer Transfer Market's signings, and we chose the Nigerian striker, Frank Temile.

Having played with Valletta FC in season 2007-2008, Frank had a spell playing abroad. This summer, the Nigerian forward returned to Malta, and was involved in a saga in the Transfer Market, as Valletta tried to capture his signature, but he chose Birkirkara FC as his team.

Frank started his season in an excellent way with two encouraging performances in the UEFA Champions League, and by scoring one of the three goals in the 3-2 victory over Hibernians to lift his first honour with our Club.

Who is Frank Temile?

I am Frank Temile, I was born in Benin City in Nigeria and I am simple person who enjoys a laugh.

How do you spend your regular day?

I wake up in the morning, take breakfast and then I go to the gym. After the gym, I come back home to rest and I go to training in the evening.

How do you spend your weekends?

Before the match, I usually stay at home or take a stroll. After the match, I usually go out with my family for dinner.

What are your main hobbies besides football?

My hobbies besides football are listening to music and playing PSP games.

What is your favourite food?

My favourite food is spaghetti.

What is your favourite kind of music?

I listen to all kinds of music, especially African gospel.

Mention three things you cannot live without

God, my family and football.

Do you have a favourite quote or motto?

“Life is not a challenge, you have to relax and let God lead the way”.

What motivates you most in life?

Not knowing what's going to happen tomorrow is my greatest motivation to live today.

Do you follow international football? If yes, which is your favourite nation when it comes to football, and which is your favourite club?

Yes, I follow international football. My favourite Nation is Nigeria while my favourite Club is Manchester United FC.

Who is your favourite player? Why?

My favourite player is Cristiano Ronaldo, because I think that this player has managed to do a great job to get where he is now. He has put a lot of work and I think people have to respect that.

What is your biggest fear on the pitch?

I don't really have any fear in the pitch, it is a fun place especially when I am in good form.

Can you tell us a bit about your experiences before joining our Club?

Before joining Birkirkara FC, I played for Valletta FC and Dynamo Kiev FC of Ukraine.

Why did you decide to join Birkirkara FC?

There are a lot of reasons but the main ones were that I just felt here it will suit me the most because the game they play and how the coach works.

How are you feeling with the Club? Have you settled in?

Of course, I have already won an honour with the team.

How would you describe the atmosphere in the dressing room?

We have a friendly atmosphere in our dressing room.

Following a quite start, your performances seem to be increasing match after match. Do you agree that the best of your performances are still yet to come? Why?

Yes, I agree. Hopefully, pretty soon, I will get there.

Who is your best team mate?

I don't have a best team mate. I relate with everyone the same way.

What are your comments about the last match against Vittoriosa?

It was a good thing that we managed to win, and we hope that together we will get more wins.

How is the squad preparing for the next game against Rabat Ajax?

We're working hard as usual and the preparations for this match are going fine.

What are your targets and the Club's targets for this season?

My target for this season is to help the team reach its targets, and I will always do my best so at the end we can be crowned champions.

Thank you for all your support at all times, and we will try our best not to let you down.
