National Team goalkeeper Henry Bonello has just signed a three-year contract with our Club. Henry is joining our club from Valletta FC, As part of the transfer deal, Rowen Muscat has moved to Valletta FC.

Henry definitely needs no introduction to Maltese football as the twenty-eighth goalkeeper has won all honours that the Maltese football offers. He has also been a regular with the National Team since his debut in 2012.

Henry joined Valletta FC at the beginning of last season and went on winning the BOV Premier League with them. Before joining Valletta, he was playing with Hibernians FC where he also played a key-role in helping them win the BOV Premier League.

On the other hand, Rowen is a Birkirkara FC Youth Academy product and he made his debut with the Senior Team in the 2009-2010 season. During the last eight years, he made 168 appearances and scored five goals.

Rowen had two short experiences outside our country. In the 2014-2015 season, he had a short spell with Dunaujvaros PASE where he spent six months with the Hungarian Club before returning to our Club in the last day of January 2015 while last season, he had a short spell with Pavia FC in Italy.

We would like to welcome Henry to our Club while wishing him all the best of luck in his experience with our Club. On the other hand, the Club would like to thank Rowen for his services towards our Club.
