by Ivan Mizzi - 13th January 2017

Scottish wing-back Gary Muir signed a contract till the end of the 2018-2019 season with our Club to be the third major signing in the January Transfer Market. Gary is joining our Club from Sliema Wanderers FC and as part of the deal, Nigerian forward Frank Temile has moved to the Wanderers.

Gary, aged thirty-one, is one of the highest rated foreign players that have established themselves in Malta. The powerful left-back is well-known for his strength, and his dazzling runs on the side.

He was first brought over to Malta by Vittoriosa FC in the 2012-2013 season following successful spells in Ireland and Scotland. Then he moved to Floriana FC, and in the 2015-2016 season he moved to Sliema Wanderers FC. Last season he was part of the Wanderers' team that won the FA Trophy.

On the other hand, Frank Temile had joined our Club for the second spell in the 2015 Summer Transfer Market. This season he had eighteen appearances and scored six goals.

Temile had joined our Club for the first time in the 2013 Summer Transfer Market. He then joined Qormi FC and then Naxxar Lions FC in the following season, before returning with our Club. With our shirt, he made seventy-six appearances and scored twenty goals.

We would like to welcome Gary with our Club, while we would like to thank Frank for his service towards our Club.
