Match Preview: Birkirkara FC vs. Hamrun Spartans FC

Birkirkara FC will be seeking to register their second consecutive victory in the BOV Premier League, when they will take on Hamrun Spartans FC in a direct clash this afternoon.

The Stripes are coming from two positive results, following a 2-0 victory over St. Andrew's in the BOV Premier League and a comfortable 5-0 victory over St. Lucia FC in the third round of the FA Trophy, sponsored by Boost Diesel.

On the other hand, Hamrun are also coming from back-to-back victories. They defeated Lija Athletic FC with a comfortable 5-1 score in the BOV Premier League, while they advanced to the fourth round of the FA Trophy after eliminating Gzira United FC with a 1-0 score, thanks to a goal in the extra-time period.

Coach Paul Zammit will have back in selection defenders Lucas Maia and Kurt Zammit as the two players return from a one-match suspension.

The match will be played at the National Stadium and it will kick off at 14:00.
