Coach and Captain on the big match

by Ayrton Galea - 25th February 2018

Coach Paul Zammit believes that today's match against Valletta FC is as important as the previous eight weeks while Captain Nikola Vukanac promised that the team will giving its utmost effort to win this important match.

"Considering where our team was a few months ago, the fact that the second-round match Valletta-Birkirkara is being considered a top game is already something positive for us. I remember that in the first-round match, our team wasn't in this position."

“This is an important match for us, but as much as important like the previous eight games that we went through in the last weeks. We knew that if we want to improve our league-position, we had no other option than to improve our consistency.”

“All the merit should go to the players that they put the team where it deserves to be till now. However, I keep on stressing it out that so far, we have done a lot, but it could be that we haven't done anything at all.”

“It would be inappropriate to talk about this game that can determine the league or not. We are just looking to this match as another important match but, we'll keep the utmost respect to our opponents.”

On the other hand, Captain Nikola Vukanac said, “For us it's an important game as we all know. We had a good run in the last eleven matches, but it doesn't mean anything because in the next seven games there is twenty-one points to be won and every point will count.

“At the moment, we are closer to the fourth place than to the first place, so we have to take care about this as well. As I said, it's a very important game for us and we will give everything to win.”
