Annual General Meeting report

Birkirkara FC held their Annual General Meeting for Season 2017-2018 yesterday evening at the Clubhouse.

Administrative Reports for Season 2017-2018

Mr. Frank Cortis, on behalf of the Supporters Sub-Committee, read their administrative report while Mr. George Sammut, the Supporters Sub-Committee's treasurer announced that the hard-working committee collected no less than €130, 000.

The Supporters Sub-Committee presented a token to several Club's volunteers and the Club's president for all his hard work and efforts in the previous season.

Mr. Jonathan Friggieri, the Club's secretary, analysed Season 2017-2018 and all its challenges. The Club's secretary remarked that there was a change in presidency and after the first two league games, Coach Paul Zammit returned at the helm of the team.

Mr. Friggieri went on saying that the team was strengthened in the January Transfer Market and against all odds, the team reached its target of securing a place in European competitions. The Secretary concluded his speech with a heartful message to the president, which this was given a standing ovation by all those present.

The Club's secretary also remarked the impressive season of the Women's Team as they won all three cups to complete a treble in Season 2017-2018.

President approved for another three seasons

In a motion raised during the Club's Annual General Meeting, the Club's President Mr. Frank Zarb was unanimously approved by the Club's members for the upcoming three seasons. The President was also approved to form the committee of his choice, backed by the Club members.

In his first reaction to this approved motion, the Club's President Mr. Frank Zarb thanked all present for their continuous backing and support, while trusting their beloved team in his presidency. He promised that he will continue to do his utmost effort to keep strengthening the team in every department, including the administration.

President's Speech

The Club's President Mr. Frank Zarb opened his speech by reflecting on the previous season and admitting the challenge was anything than easy. However, the ambitious Birkirkara president identify the fact that despite all the difficulties, the Club still managed to reach its targets.

The President went on assuring all the supporters that the committee together with its technical staff is working tirelessly for the upcoming season and that the squad will be strengthened with several new signings.

Paul Fenech returns with Birkirkara FC

The Annual General Meeting was concluded by the Club's President Mr. Frank Zarb who revealed that Paul Fenech is the first major signing for Birkirkara FC.

Paul entered the Clubhouse among the joy of the numerous supporters attending the Annual General Meeting and signed his three-year contract in-front of the supporters.
