Maurizio Vella joins Birkirkara FC

Birkirkara FC is delighted to announce the signing of Italian offensive player, Maurizio Vella who signed a contract with our Club till the end of season 2020-2021. Vella is eligible to play tomorrow's BOV Premier League match against Balzan FC.

Vella is considered as one of the best foreign offensive players on our island for the last three seasons. His acceleration and pace together with his technical qualities has caught the eye of all Maltese football followers in his spell with Floriana FC.

He becomes Birkirkara's fifth signing as Bosnian midfielder Muamer Svraka, Clayton Failla, Johann Bezzina and Jorge Pereira have all joined the ranks this month. All paperwork with the Malta Football Association has been registered in time to make in line for his debut in tomorrow's match.

Club's technical director, Mr. Michael Valenzia is optimistic that Vella's qualities will be a great asset for the squad. “We are delighted to welcome Maurizio to the club. We have been after his signature for a while now and we believe that he will be a great asset to our squad.”

Ryan Camenzuli and Terence Vella move Floriana FC on a permanent move

As part of this deal with Floriana FC for the signing of Maurizio Vella, Ryan Camenzuli and Terence Vella will moving to the opposite direction on a permanent move.

A product of Birkirkara FC, Camenzuli made his debut with our club in season 2010-2011. This will be his second spell with Floriana FC, after a one-season loan in season 2016-2017. Ryan has won every honour that the Maltese football offers with our club.

On the other hand, Terence Vella joined club in the summer transfer market of season 2010-2011. He made sixty-two appearances and scored three goals. During his spell with our club, he had several loan spells including with Mosta FC, Hamrun Spartans FC, Naxxar Lions FC, Qormi FC and Senglea Athletic FC. He had joined Floriana FC on loan this summer.
