Ryan is another Youth Nursery product and he began playing football with his home-town, Birkirkara when he was just seven years old.
Since the very early days of his football career, Ryan's skills were evident enough to notice. His intelligent passes, powerful shots and his willfulness made him stand out.
In 2010, Ryan was farming part of the Under 17 team. Besides being one of the best players in his section, he was called up to join the Under 19 squad as well and he managed to leave a good impression there too.
A notable achievement was the goal he managed to score with the Under 19 side against St. Patrick's FC on the 2nd December 2010, as his goal was enough for 'The Stripes' to win the game with a 1-0 score.
In the last few days of the same year, Camenzuli was seen for the first time with the Senior Squad. The Premier League had a two week berak, and Birkirkara were invited to take part in the Charles Abela Memorial Cup with Zejtun Corinthians FC and organisers Mosta FC. 'The Stripes' managed to beat Zejtun with a 4-0 score. Then they lost to Mosta 5-6 after a penalty shoot out had to seal the issue, since the 45 minute match ended goal-less. Ryan Camenzuli was included in both matches with the starting eleven.
Just a few days later, 'The Stripes' took part in another triangular tournament, this time against Hamrun Spartans and the Italian Serie B side Padova. Birkirkara lost both matches, 1-0 against Hamrun Spartans and 2-0 versus Padova . For Ryan it was another experience to remember as once again he was utilised and left a very good impression.
Ryan continued to show his skills with both his section, Under 17 and more remarkable in the Under 19's as well and finally he was rewarded for his effort.
On Monday 24th January 2011, Ryan joined the senior squad and he was the first player ever from the Under 17 side who made it to the seniors.
Ryan made his Premier League debut on 30 January 2011, when he was included as a substitute in the match against Vittoriosa Stars which 'The Stripes' won with one goal to nil.
In his first Premier League with the Senior squad Ryan Camenzuli made two appearances. First he was included a substitute on the 30 January, 2011 in the match against Vittoriosa Stars, and then he began the last match of the season against Floriana which was played on the 5 May, 2011
The 2011-2012 season was one to remember for the promising youngster as he established himself as a strong left back who, in this season, found much more space to leave his mark.
In the Premier League, he made seventeen appearances in which he began seven and was included in ten. However, the notable mark was surely the first goal ever scored in the Premier League by this youngster as on the28 April, nine men Birkirkara defeated Hibernians with a 2-0 score with Camenzuli scoring the second goal.
Without any doubt, many are expecting a very positive future for Ryan’s career.
