Ryan Camenzuli was born on the 8 September 1994. He plays as a left back and he one of the Youth Academy Products that has successfully made it to the Senior Team. Ryan is a Youth Academy product, who began his football career when he just was seven years old. Since the very early days of his football career, Ryan's skills were evident enough to notice. His intelligent passes, powerful shots and his willfulness made him stand out.
It was in the 2010-2011 season where Ryan not only made it with the Under-19’s Team but he was also called-up with the Senior Team in the last days of the year. He featured in the Charles Abela Memorial Cup and the triangular tournament against Hamrun Spartans and the Italian Serie B side Padova.
He continued to catch attention and he was handed the official debut with the Senior Team, when he was included as a substitute in the 1-0 victory over Vitoriosa Stars in a match played on the 30 January 2011. In this season, he made a total of three appearances, all after he was included as a substitute.
The following 2011-2012 season was a memorable one for Camenzuli as he established himself as a regular player by making eighteen appearances. He left a notable mark by scoring his first goal with the Senior Team in the 2-0 victory over Hibernians, in a match played on the 28 April 2012.
Ryan's 2012-2013 season was a memorable one for the youngster. Besides continuing building where he left off the prior season thanks to his brilliant performances, Camenzuli managed to win his first Premier League title with our Club. During this season, he played thirty-six matches and scored three goals, while in the league campaign he was voted four times the BOV Player of the Match.
In the first months of the 2013-2014 season, he was offered his first ever professional contract. He signed a five-year deal with Birkirkara FC on Tuesday, 12 November 2013.
After he had played with all the ranks of the National Team till the Under-21’s Team, he made his debut with the National Team on the 25 March 2015, when he was included as a substitute in added time at the end of a 0–3 friendly defeat to Georgia at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium in Tbilisi.
In the beginning of the 2015-2016 season, Ryan signed a fresh new five-year contract with our Club on Monday, 8 June. By renewing Camenzuli's contract, the Club once again proved the importance it gives to Maltese players, while giving priority to Academy Products.
