Four Birkirkara FC players in MFA Awards 2019

Four Birkirkara FC players have been shortlisted for different awards in the MFA Awards 2019 which is going to be held on Friday, 24 May 2019.

Women's Team player Stephania Farrugia, who led her side for the league-cup double this season, has been once again shortlisted for the BOV Women's League Best Player. Farrugia has won this award, the most prestigious personal award in women's football in Malta, three consecutive times.

Senior Team player Matthew Guillaumier has been shortlisted for the Young Player of the Year. Guillaumier was one of the best players for the Stripes, despite that he was forced to miss the last part of the league due to an injury.

Under-19's Team player Paul Mbong has been nominated for the award of the Best Youth League player after he was one of the protagonist players that has helped the Stripes to clinch the Youths League Section A title.

On the other hand, Kailey Willis has been shortlisted for the BOV Women Under-19's League Best Player. Despite the team failed to win any honours during this season, Willis was a key player for the Stripes and one of the standout players in throughout the season.

Goal of the Season

Veteran forward Michael Mifsud's goal against Balzan FC has been shortlisted as one of the top ten goals for season 2018-2019. The onus of choosing the best goal of the season is now on the fans themselves.
