BOV Premier League - Birkirkara FC vs. Balzan FC

by Ayrton Galea - 14th September 2019

Coach Andre Paus will be making his debut as the new Birkirkara FC coach, as the Stripes take on Balzan FC this evening in a match that will be played at the National Stadium (Kick Off - 20:00).

The former Valletta FC coach arrived on Thursday early afternoon and attended the afternoon session, before holding his first-ever session as a coach of the Stripes on Friday.

The National Team break was anything than a break for the Stripes' administration as they dealt with the resignation of Coach John Buttigieg while completing their quest for a new coach.

The Dutch Coach will be hoping to bring new fortunes for the Stripes after losing the first two matches against Floriana FC and Senglea Athletic FC, both with an identical 1-0 score.

On the other hand, Balzan FC had mixed fortunes in their first two matches of the BOV Premier League as they registered a victory in their opening match, but fell to a defeat in their second match against Floriana FC.

Coach Paus must do without the services of defender Jeferson Ferreira who must serve a one-match ban, but Ryan Fenech is in-line for his debut after joining the Stripes in the last day of the transfer market.
