Birkirkara FC registered their second victory in the BOV Premier League with a solid performance that enabled them to defeat Gudja United FC with a 3-0 score.

Inspired by the return of Caio Prado that was voted player of the match. The Stripes scored three goals in the first half in a deserved and well-needed victory for the team.

Coach Andre Paus made four changes from the last match. Caio Prado returned with first eleven, Kurt Zammit replaced Isaac Ntow, Carniello Oscar Matias replaced the suspended Federico Verde and Luke Montebello returned with first eleven following his good performance with the national team.

The First Half
The numerous attacks Birkirkara created was a prove of the intent by The Stripes to search for a lead in this game. The Stripes managed to take the lead on the twenty-eight minutes, after a shot by Federico Falcone hit the crossbar with the ball bouncing onto Gudja defender Goran Adamovic and into the net for an own goal.
The Stripes kept pushing forward and doubled their lead three minutes later, when Kurt Zammit headed the ball into the net after an Alves corner, Carniello nodded the ball onto the far post.
Messias almost put Gudja back in the game on thirty-four minutes when he stormed inside the area but Guarnonen did well to block.
Two minutes from the break, The Stripes scored another goal and wrapped up the points! when Caio was brought down in the area by Bolanos and from the penalty spot Luke Montebello made no mistake.

The Second Half
After the break, Gudja tried to push themselves back into the match and on fifty-eight minutes Bolanos pounced on a poor clearance by the Birkirkara defence but fired wide.
On the sixty-five minutes Luke Montebello released Alves who stormed inside the area but drifted the ball just wide.
Andre Paus' men were on top right and completely dominated their opponents even in the second half with their swift attacking play to bag three vital points.
